With Samsung Galaxy J8, Samsung is planning to bring the Infinity Display used in its S series. If you want to invest in a Smartphone packed with amazing features and a reasonable price (thanks to Samsung phone plans considering the student phone plans), you might want to have a look at this review.

The Design and Display
Samsung Galaxy J8 has a 6-inch display with a tall and thin body. It is provided with 16 megapixels selfie camera placed just above the screen with a LED flash and metallic earpiece. Even though the Infinity Display is used, J8 doesn’t have curved sides. The screen resolution is decent since it has the typical AMOLED properties.
At the back of the phone, you will find a vertically oriented dual camera set up. The primary camera is 16 megapixels and the secondary camera is 5 megapixels. The photos you will capture with J8 are going to look bright with vibrant. The photos taken outdoors under sunlight will look crisp. The rear camera has the “Live Focus” feature that lets you blur the background while taking pictures, which is pretty cool. You will enjoy clicking pictures with this device that’s for sure. Just below the camera module, you will find the fingerprint scanner.
J8 has a plastic body which is a disappointment for those who were expecting a metal-glass combination. The matte plastic back does not feel good or as solid as other metal devices. J8 is available in blue, blue, and golden colors.

Memory, Processor, and Storage
The phone is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. This time, Samsung has been quite generous with the storage. The phone has 4GB internal RAM and 64GB storage. This chipset may not be the fastest around but it’s capable of running games and it’s sufficient for basic multitasking needs.
Samsung Galaxy J8 runs on Android Oreo so you will have lots of customization options. The settings of the phone have been re-arranged and it has multiple sub-menus now.

Battery Life
With 3500mAh battery, the phone is capable of lasting for 16 hours and 24 minutes. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge. The battery doesn’t drain rapidly if you are watching videos on YouTube or playing games. The phone doesn’t heat up either.

Price
Samsung Galaxy J8 costs $467 (Price may differ from carrier to carrier). At some retailers, you might be able to get a discount too. If not, then you can buy it in installments with the Samsung phone plans, of course.
Should You Buy Samsung Galaxy J8?
J8 certainly comes with a good set of features, impressive battery, and a decent camera. Its fingerprint sensor and face unlock features are a bit slow and disappointing. It may not be on everyone’s list but if you are looking for an upgrade at a reasonable price, it’s not a bad choice after all. Those interested in buying Galaxy J8, don’t forget to have a look at some of the Samsung phone plans. You never know when you might find a good offer.
